Hi, my name is Elvira Robb, but everyone calls me
El. I was born on September 12 in Berlin, Germany.
I lived in the Eastern part of Germany until I
was 15 years old, then moved to the Western part of Germany. There,
I finished grade school, high school and even went to a technical
college. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Flowering and Greenhouse
plants botany.
In 1967, I married my husband, who was an
American Soldier stationed in Berlin, Germany. We moved to Michigan
and lived there until 1983. We have 3 children (2boys/1girl), 7
grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. We moved back to Germany in
1983, and lived there until 2000.
My Husband moved to Wisconsin in early
2000 and I, along with my 3 children, joined him in mid 2000. We
first lived in Rice Lake, WI and eventually bought a house in
Barron, WI.
In 2005, my Husband died of cancer. I
then started working here at the BACC in 2006 and have been here
ever since.
My hobbies include making jewelry,
gardening and traveling.
